5 to the comfort of cake with apples

I think everyone will agree that a decent portion of Domashenko comfort and warmth to a cold winter evening adds a great Cup of your favorite tea and a slice of cake flavored. Cake recipe with apples and quince:

2 large sweet apples (3 medium)

1 large quince (2 medium)

zest and juice of 1 lemon

zest and juice of 1 orange

cinnamon to taste

2-3 tbsp sugar

Apples and quince need to peel and core and cut into thin slices. In a separate bowl, mix all the ingredients for the filling, including finely grated zest and juice of orange and lemon, sugar and cinnamon and leave it alone until you do the test.

290 g — flour

50 g — sugar

200 g — chilled butter, cut into small cubes

60 ml — clean cold water

You need to RUB the butter together with the flour and sugar to the consistency of crumbs and continue to mix, gradually adding cold water. The dough should be uniform and gather into a tight ball. It must cover with cling film and refrigerate for 30 minutes — 1 hour.

Getting directly to the cake, separate from bun 2/3 of the dough and on a lightly oiled work surface roll out the basis for the pie (the square of rolled out of the reservoir should be sufficient to uniformly cover not only the bottom but also the sides). Bake the base in a preheated to 200 C oven for 10 minutes.

Then remove the form carefully put the stuffed slices of apples and quince, pour the remaining juice. Rolled the remaining 1/3 of the dough, cut it into strips to close the pie netting. Start to put stripes in parallel from one edge to the other, and then perpendicular to them, creating the weave. Zaschipnite the edges and brush the top with egg yolk beaten with 1 tsp water. Bake in the oven for about 30 minutes at the same temperature (200 C). But bear in mind that baking time may vary depending on the oven type. In General, an eye for a pie and bake as usual until Golden brown and soft stuffing. If the top will darken faster, just use foil to cover the pie from excessive heat the upper canopy.
